I am Jona Teron, Filipino, 26 years old, single and a graduate in of Secondary Education from one of the tertiary schools in Philippines.

I am currently working as domestic helper to an Australian family since December 2004 in Singapore. I am taking care of a 3 year old child. Currently the child is attending nursery school so I personally attend to his needs before going to school. In the afternoon, I would usually bring him to playground or park and before he goes to sleep at night I read him stories. Aside from that I also do cleaning house, washing and ironing of clothes, shopping, and cooking.

In addition, I also finished Nursing Aide course in Singapore. Since I am in this line of work, I  felt it would be the best to upgrade myself further. Part of the course is an actual training in one of the elderly homes in Singapore where I was able to assist elderly in going to comfort room, change nappies and bed sheet for the bedridden elderly, served meals and check blood sugar and temperature.

I wish to work in Canada as a live-in caregiver so as to have better opportunities and in return to help my family in Philippines financially. I hope you will give me the opportunity to work with your family in Canada.
